On 29th of May, Hans Koster and myself presented an opinion piece at the Metropool Forum hosted by the Deltametropool at the Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht. Our piece was entitled “TOD in a new perspective” (in Dutch, pdf, 70kb).
Metropool Forum
The Metropool Forum is a gathering of members and interested parties affiliated with the Deltametropool Association. It is one of the many attempts Deltametropool has hosted to debate current urgencies around the formation of metropolitan agglomeration in the Netherlands (be in the Randstad, Den Haag-Rotterdam or Metropolitan Region Amsterdam). Paul Gerretsen started by announcing that there is much to be done about the metropolitan areas, there is a need for broader public discussion and this session is about deciding where energy and initiatives should be directed.
Er is veel te doen over de metropool.- Paul Gerretsen, Agent, Deltametropool
This seemed to be an idea-generating and gathering occasion to help direct the future research directions of the association.
Hans and I were honored to be selected to present our story as one of the 21 essays out of the 50+ entries. We were slotted in the ‘New Strategies’ session.
